We're asking our members to help support our network.
The last 3 years, art27 has been financially sustained by Musicians Without Borders - in 2020 and 2021, with support from our general budget; and this year, by raising funds through institutional and private donors. But we have not managed to raise the entire budget - and we now kindly ask our members to contribute.
What we have accomplished this year:
we have grown our membership to 81 organizations and 365 individuals,
we have grown our visibility online, reaching 375 individuals via our newsletter,
we are featuring the work and projects of our members every week on social media,
we have produced two webinars - on March 8 (International Women's Day) for art27 members; and on June 20 (International Refugee Day) for public,
we have awarded commissions of € 3,000 each to 4 pairs of artists, each pair including at least one artist with lived experience of forced migration,
we have produced monthly ReSounding podcasts featuring in-depth interviews with thought leaders among our members and beyond,
we are planning two more events: a webinar on September 21 (International Peace Day); and a live event in Amsterdam on December 10 (International Human Rights Day), where the commissioned art works will be on display, and
we have hired a part-time coordinator and a part-time producer/communications officer - together, they have coordinated and organized all activities.
We still need to raise about € 10,000 to cover all remaining 2022 costs. This money would be used to the benefit of our members by:
producing a live event in Amsterdam on December 10, 2022, which will bring together advocacy and the arts to deliver a multidimensional program, including talks by thought leaders in the field expanded through artworks and performances, and
supporting the production of two member workshops dedicated to the exchange of knowledge between participants, in September and November 2022, and
supporting the creation of four artworks expressing new narratives on migration, through the initiative art27 Commissions for Collaborative Artworks.
As such, we kindly ask:
our organizational members to consider contributing between € 100 and € 500, depending on your financial capacity.
our individual members to consider contributing an amount between € 5 and 10 per month, for the remaining (5) months of this year.
Your support will be featured in all promotion material relating to art27 initiatives. Additionally, you will have free access to all art27 events taking place in 2022.
As always, we are grateful for your suggestions, comments and feed-back.
