When people have been forced to flee their homes, they need support of all kinds. Shelter, food, clothing, medical care, education for the children, help with learning a new language and finding a job...But no less important are feelings of safety, connection, comfort, hope - all needed to build faith in the future.

That's what music can do. Music as refuge.

Musicians Without Borders brings the power of music to people displaced by war and conflict.

• We give instruments to musicians who have had to leave theirs behind.

• We sing and dance with children and their parents in Dutch asylum seeker centers.

• We train musicians in DRC/Congo to make music with vulnerable children and youth, divided and displaced by conflict.

• We offer music lessons to children from Palestinian refugee camps.

• We train musicians in Jordan to turn music lessons for refugee children into a place of safety and connection.

• We organize inclusive music activities for Iraqi, Syrian, Afghan and Somali children in Bosnian refugee camps.
